Frenzino Casino: An Irish Perspective on a New Global Operator

Irish players continue to look beyond domestic brands in search of fresh gaming experiences. One of the newest names to appear on comparison charts is Frenzino, a colourful crypto‑friendly casino–sportsbook hybrid that first went live in late‑2024. This article explores what Frenzino offers and, crucially, places it in the wider context of Ireland’s rapidly changing gambling regime.

Frenzino at a Glance

The 2024–25 Reform Drive

On 5 March 2025 the GRAI formally opened its doors. The new watchdog will issue tiered licences, police advertising and operate a national self‑exclusion register. TV and radio gambling ads are now banned between 5.30 a.m. and 9 p.m., inducements such as “VIP programmes” are prohibited, and credit cards can no longer be used for deposits. The first Business‑to‑Consumer betting licences are scheduled for December 2025, with pure iGaming permits following in Q1 2026.

Where Does Frenzino Fit?

Because Frenzino is licensed in Kahnawake rather than Ireland, it currently falls into the “overseas operator” category. That means:

  1. Remote Betting Duty – If Frenzino takes sports wagers from Irish residents it is liable for the 2 % remote duty that applies to every bet struck with a customer located in the State.
  2. Future Irish Licence – Once the GRAI opens its remote gaming window in 2026, Frenzino will need an Irish B2C Gaming Licence to continue to target local players.
  3. Advertising – Any marketing directed at the Irish market must now respect watershed hours and may not include bonus inducements that clash with the new Act.

Irish players, meanwhile, remain free to join Frenzino because there is no personal tax on gambling winnings. Still, it is advisable to check that the casino displays the “registration of interest” badge required under the interim arrangements announced by the GRAI in April 2025.

Responsible Gambling

Frenzino offers deposit limits, reality checks, time‑outs and a one‑click self‑ban that aligns with the GRAI’s forthcoming unified exclusion register. Links to GamblingCare.ie and GamStop are highlighted in the footer, and crypto users are subjected to the same affordability checks as fiat players.
